10 Of The Hottest Male Celebrities You Want At Your BBQ
These 10 men should brighten up everyone’s summer BBQ.
As a recent college grad, Sam spends her free time analyzing films and literature until she goes cross-eyed. Many told her a degree in English would be useless but she’s putting what she learned to good use writing articles about tv, books and pop culture and loving every second of it.
We’re having a picnic and we’re bringing…men. Ten hot men to be exact. This 4th of July, the team at Filthy Gorgeous came together to compose a list of the hottest guys to invite to an independence day BBQ because what’s America without attractive men? In America, we have the freedom to celebrate our independence and these incredibly steamy, sexy, studs will certainly have us seeing red, white, and blue for the rest of the night. Warning: these hunks are talented, handsome, and surely have a wonderful John Hancock, if you know what we mean.
10. Pharrell Williams
Pure talent and sex ooze out of Pharrell’s very being. Although the 42-year-old has been releasing and producing hits since the early 90′s, he has really hit his stride since collaborating with musicians such as Robin Thicke and Daft Punk. He is responsible for producing such hits as Kelis’ “Milkshake,” Britney Spears’ “I’m a Slave 4 U,” No Doubt’s “Hella Good,” Justin Timberlake’s “Rock Your Body” and Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Pharrell has won 11 Grammys over the years and is currently on tour in Europe so we could probably convince him to make a little pit stop at our BBQ and perform for us.
9. John Barrowman
John Barrowman has been hailed all over the world as a seriously sexy stud ever since he blazed onto the geek scene in his role as Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and Torchwood. He continues to fulfill many a fan’s fantasy as Malcolm Merlyn on the CW series Arrow but before that, he built his career in theater. This Scottish-born actor left the University of San Diego to star in the musical production of Anything Goes with Elaine Page and later went on to star in Miss Saigon, Matador, Rope, and Hair in London’s West End. Proving his vocal abilities on stage, Barrowman is an accomplished singer with several albums under his belt and performs at concert halls across the country. He is also an accomplished writer with two autobiographies under his belt. Let’s hope Barrowman would wear a traditional kilt with nothing underneath to the BBQ.
8. Hugh Jackman
This Aussie babe has been all over the globe and back again. Starring in TV shows, Hollywood films and Broadway plays, there’s nothing this man can’t do. He is best known for his roles in Kate & Leopold, the X-Men series, Prisoners and Les Miserables. His time in theater includes Oklahoma! on the West End, The Boy from Oz on Broadway and The River on Broadway. Not only has he hosted the Tony Awards 4 times but he also hosted the Oscars in 2009. But all of this talent aside, Jackman just seems like a good person. He has teamed up with a number of different charities over the years such as the Global Poverty Project, the Bone Marrow Institute in Australia, Charity: Water, Operation of Hope, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and so many more. He is also a staunch supporter of adoption as he and his wife Deborah-Lee Furness adopted two children. Besides looking incredible, Jackman seems like the kind of guy you could have meaningful pillow talk with.
7. Neil Patrick Harris
Actor, singer, writer and professional magician? Neil Patrick Harris could definitely be the entertainment at our BBQ. Harris is best known for playing teenage doctor Doogie Howser on Doogie Howser, M.D., Desi Collings in Gone Girl, and Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother. He’s also been on Broadway in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Hollywood’s Magic Castle, a nightclub for magicians. Besides winning 4 Emmys and 4 Golden Globes nominations, he was the first openly gay man to host the Academy Awards in 2015. He and his lovely husband David Burtka have two beautiful children and the family seems like they always have a whirlwind of fun, so you know Harris would be a hit at any party.
Suns Out, Guns Out
6. Steven Yeun
There’s only one person you need during the zombie apocalypse: Steven Yeun. Badass Yeun is best known for playing Glenn in AMC’s The Walking Dead but his career in acting almost didn’t happen. The South Korean native became interested in improv while at Kalamazoo and wanted to pursue that career instead of going to law or medical school. His parents only gave him two years to try it out and thankfully he was able to move to Chicago and join Second City before moving to Los Angeles in 2009. In 2011, he was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in Television for his role on The Walking Dead. He has also voiced Avatar Wan on The Legend of Korraas well as minor characters in video games Crysis and Crysis Warhead. With his background in comedy, Yeun would definitely be a riot at our BBQ.
5. Omari Hardwick
Handsome Omari Hardwick has been on tv shows such as Saved and Dark Blue as well as films like Miracle at St. Anna, Kick-Ass, and For Colored Girls. However, he originally planned a career in the NFL. He attended the University of Georgia and played there but was not picked for the NFL draft. Nonetheless he still tried out for the San Diego Chargers but did not make the team. Thankfully he had studied acting and poetry and minored in theater while at the University of Georgia so acting became his backup career. Still, Hardwick participated in the National Poetry Slam in 2003 and 2004 and is a founding member of Plan B Inc. Theater Group. He would definitely bring some class to our get together.
America’s favorite uncle continues to age like fine wine. Best known for playing Uncle Jesse on Full House, Stamos went on to play Dr. Tony Gates in ER, Dr. Carl Howell in Glee and Jimmy in Grandfathered. Like Uncle Jesse, Stamos plays the guitar and has performed with The Beach Boys and John Fogerty and also made appearance in the Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie and the Hollywood Bowl performance of Hairspray. For some reason he pulled Jamie Lee Curtis and started doing commercials for Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt but he’s thankfully snapped out of it and will be reprising his role as Jesse Katsopolis in Fuller House and is slated to appear in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 which will be released in 2016. We’re sure his party trick would probably be his Elvis impersonation considering he won a TV Land award for it in 2007. Let him slip on those blue suede shoes and perform “Heartbreak Hotel” and he’ll have everyone falling in love with him.
3. Jason Momoa
As our sun and stars, Jason Momoa will always be invited to any BBQ we have. This Hawaiian-born hunk is best known for his roles as Ronon Dex on Stargate: Atlantic and Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones. Men and women alike melt from his muscular physique, long hair and gruff voice which make him the bad boy you’ve only dreamt of. He is married to Lisa Bonet of The Cosby Show fame and they have two children together. While he is slated to appear in some movies throughout 2015, he has been casted as Aquaman for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, The Justice League Part One in 2017 and a standalone Aquaman movie in 2018. However, it’s a real shame he wasn’t cast in Magic Mike XXL.
2. Chris Pratt
As an intergalactic space hero, dinosaur wrangler and Parks and Rec worker, Chris Pratt has done it all. At 19-years-old, Pratt was discovered by a director while working in a Bubba Gump Shrimp Compan. He was homeless in Maui at the time and spent whatever money he earned on gas for his van, food, and weed. After acting in a short film, he was cast as Bright Abbott in Everwood and then joined The O.C.in its fourth season before moving onto to NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Since then, Pratt has blown up in Hollywood and has recently been cast in a sci-fi romance film called Passengers along with Jennifer Lawrence. With all this fame and a loving, hilarious family who supports him, Pratt is sure to have a million anecdotes up his sleeve that will entertain our guests. Plus, we’ll get to stare at him the whole time.
1. Michael Phelps
Actual Aquaman himself, Michael Phelps is a 22-time Olympic medal winner with 8 gold medals won during the 2008 Beijing Games alone. He holds the world record in the 100-meter butterfly, 200-meter butterfly and 400-meter individual medley. He retired after his performance at the 2012 Olympics but he came back from retirement and won the 100-meter butterfly event at the Area Grand Prix in North Caroline in May of 2014. No stranger to controversy, a picture of Phelps smoking a water pipe surfaced in 2009 which lost him sponsorship from the Kellogg Company. He was then arrested in 2014 for drinking under the influence of alcohol and was suspended from all competitions for 6 months. With this in mind, there are some pros and cons to inviting him to the BBQ. The pro would be the fact that he might bring a little greenery but the con is that he would probably eat all of the food since he’s on that swimmer’s diet. We’ll take our chances.
