Having worked as Head Curator of exhibitions at many prestigious art galleries around the country, Reynolds is no stranger to fine art. Reynolds now works as a freelance curator for Filthy Gorgeous Media, allowing him to pursue his own personal love of erotic photography.
At Filthy Gorgeous Media, we celebrate a woman’s right to use her body any way she wants to, which is why we are advocates for porn stars and any woman willing to take her clothes off on camera. Many people stereotype these people as trashy, emotionally “broken,” or women who choose to bare it all for the camera because they had to. In order to break down the stereotypes of these women, the FGM staff has collected some evidence that disproves these theories and enforces a more positive view. Stripped is all about stripping away a perceived perception of a woman in order to reveal who she really is. Juliette Lewis one woman who has not been afraid to bare not only her body, but her story of addiction and depression.
Stripping Down Wayward Pines’ Juliette Lewis.
After her battle drugs and depression, Juliette Lewis is not afraid to bare it all. In fact, she has even appeared naked on camera on more than one occasion. However, it is not just her body that she is willing to share with the public, it is also her story. Juliette Lewis, who rose to fame in her teens with an Oscar nomination for Cape Fear, has turned over a new leaf in a diverse career. The actress-turned-rock-star-turned-actress-again has never wanted for work. But her new roles, both as Detective Andrea Cornell on ABC’s Sunday-night soap Secrets & Lies, and as Beverly on Fox’s Wayward Pines, is a reinvention of sorts. She’s utterly, creepily bland, and exciting to watch.
In a revealing interview, Lewis opened up about quitting drugs at 22, and filling in her dark spaces two decades ago with the support of family and friends. Lewis, 41, who can be seen starring in Secrets and Lies alongside costar Ryan Phillippe, shared her story about her lifelong battle with depression in hopes that she could be an inspiration to someone who needs it. “I can tell you I have dealt with mania my whole life,” she said, “I’m gonna top his depression. I am manic and crazy! I quit drugs at 22. I traveled a lot, I dealt with my priorities. I have such a beautiful, strong family and friends and they are like everything to me.”
Despite her struggles, Lewis has managed to make a positive name for herself in music, television, and movies. Her first claim to fame happened due to her role in Martin Scorsese’s 1991 remake of the thriller, Cape Fear, for which she was nominated for both an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. This followed with major roles in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Natural Born Killers, Strange Days, The Evening Star, Kalifornia, From Dusk till Dawn, and The Other Sister. Her work in television has resulted in two Emmy nominations. As if to prove she is a woman of many talents, she also went on to have a career as a singer and musician. This lead to her performance in the American rock band, Juliette and the Licks, until 2009 when she launched a solo career.
Multi-talented, beautiful, and successful, Lewis has conquered the odds in order to create memorable characters for fans to adore. However, Lewis has stated in interviews that she wished people would be more understanding of her religion, scientology. “At the end of the day, I’m into protecting my freedom of choice, freedom of voice, freedom of religion, freedom of expression. I’ve done media and interviews since I was 19. I don’t feel I’m represented very truthfully. I still do it; it’s part of my job. I don’t go to my government to get answers; I don’t go to the media to find the truth. I find things out for myself.”
